THE TEACHING IN BRIEF : SELF-KNOWLEDGE AND EQUANIMITY

Yes, he has given it in a few words. But these few words are more valuable than cartloads of explanation, for bhakti has been brought in when the need for it is greatest. We shall not here go into the qualities of the sthitaprajna in detail. But I draw attention to it now, lest we should forget the essential place assigned to bhakti in all our sadhana. Only God knows who in this world is a perfect sthitaprajna; but the figure of Pundalik always comes before my eyes as the example of the sthitaprajna who is utterly given over to service - and that I have placed before you.
24. Well, now the qualities of the sthitaprajna are complete, and the Second Chapter is over.
