THE HEROIC HOUSE WIFE

Housewives who cheerfully live with there own aging parents or with their husband’s parent warrant our particular recognition  and deserve special admiration. Few sights are so heartrending as the huddling of old people together, whether in modest nursing homes or in shining retirement communities.

No buildings, no pools, no  gardens, however elaborate and expen- sive, can ever replace the tender love, the true affection, the respect and reverence that the young accord to the old, particul- arly in the precious and   intimate relation- ships between children and parents. The plight of the aged in modern societies all over the world is a flagrant violation of the Fourth Commandment, which clearly prescribes "Honor thy father and thy mother."
