| The good
housewife is really more than a house keeper, she is a homemaker, for it is she was turns
a cold house into a warm home. True heroism is not confined to one momentary
demonstration of bravery, or one isolated act of valor by men of great strength or power.
Rather, it is the long- sustained, day-in and day-out, unassuming and unnoticed effort and
strife of a seemingly fragile woman, the housewife that truly constitutes heroism. She is
the quiet, year-round heroine whose devotion is supreme, whose virtue noble, and
works selfless. Surely, the life of a truly good
housewife is worthy of attention and emulation. A good house wife is first of all a
natural philosopher by intuition and thoughtful- ness. She understands the nature of the
universe by her comprehension of order and harmony. She is convinced there can be no
real harmony without proper order. |
