Sprinkle a few drops of water with the uddharana on the food as
you chant.
praanaaya swaahaa, apaanaaya swaahaa, vyaanaaya
swaahaa,
udaanaaya swaahaa, samaanaaya swaahaa, bramhane
swaahaa
These are invocations and hails to the various wind elements in
the body which promote digestion. The final hail is to the creator
