| My esteemed
friend, Sri K. Bala subrahmania Iyer, has asked me to wtite a Foreword to the book
containing, the University Lectures on Hindu Ideals " delivered by him under
the two Foundations, the K. Krishnaswami Rao Endowment and the L. Venkataratnam Endowment.
I had the privilege of being present at these lectures which were listened to with rapt
attention by a large audience and I am happy that I have now the opportunity, to go
through them once again in the book that is under publication. In a clear exposition of Hindu Ideals, Sri K. Blasubrahmania Iyer
has dealt with the aims and objectives of man in life. He has delved deep into the Hindu
scriptures and has also made a comparative study of thoughts from other religious sources.
I think it is very opportune that, at a time like this, this book should be published and
I am glad the publication is to be in the Bhavan's Book University Series which is widely
read and appreciated. |
