ARE OUR CLASSICS WORLD-NEGATING?

Sri Rama Krishna Paramahamsa, the great guru of Swami Vivekananda, proclaimed his message as under: ' Every jiva is Siva and when you help and serve Jiva you are really worshipping Siva '. Basing his whole teaching on this saying of his guru, Swami Vivekananda said I If you want to find God, serve man'Re said: 'I want a religion  which gives faith in ourselves, national self - respect and power to feed, to educate the poor and to relieve the misery of men around me.'

He told his young disciples that they should dedicate themselves to the service of others and he prayed: 'May I be born and reborn again and suffer a thousand miseries if only I am able to worship the only God in whom I believe the sum total of all souls. Above all my God is the afflicted and the poor of all races.'
