ARE OUR CLASSICS WORLD-NEGATING?

He applied these principles to even one of his actions. He realised after careful study of our ancient classics that they were not
indifferent to ethics nor were they supra ethical. On the other hand, he felt that they preached love and service to mankind in a spirit of humility, detachment and unselfish ness.

The classics also indicate that love and service are sure paths to the realisation of Godhead. As Swami Vivekananda wished, it is our duty to make our religion dynamic and to make every effort to organize social service for the uplift of our countrymen, for the eradication of poverty and disease and for the restoration of dignity and self - respect of every individual in our country.
