Temples And Legends Of Tamilnadu Page1

This desire came into the mind of Annaswamy and he cut his tongue in the presence of Muruga and went on praying for attaining Vachanasiddhi. The priest in his dream saw the incident. He immediately ran up to the temple and attended to the treatment a Annaswamy Nayagar. By God's grace, the tongue gradually grew to its original form.

Later it happened that once, after worshipping Lord Subrahmanya at Palani, he was going round the shops and looking at the pictures displayed for sale. He was attracted by a particular picture of Lord Subrahmanya and desired to possess it. Unfortunately he had no money. His desire for the picture was ardent, but his poverty stood in the way. God appeared in the dream of the owner of the picture stall and directed him to present the particular picture to Annaswamy Nayagar who was a Sadhu. God also appeared in the dream of Annaswamy directing him to accept the picture from the stall owner.
