Again in the Kamba Ramayana-Bala Kandam, reference to King Sibi has been made in the context of Romapada requesting Rishyasringar to go to Ayodhya. While describing the greatness of King Dasaratha, Romapada says to Rishyasringar that he (King Dasaratha,) was born in tae family of that noble person who weighed himself in the balance for the sake of a bird and by whose fame the whole family had attained reputation," "

In the Yuddha Kandam of the same work - Kumbhakarna vadhaippadalam Stanza 1559-from his deathbed Kumbhakarna entreats Rama to afford protection to Vibhishana who had sought refuge with Him. Kumbha karna says to Rama: "You are born in the family of one who weighed himself in the balance for the sake of a bird which sought refuge with him."

Again in the Yuddha Kandam-Vibhishana adaikalappadalam-Stanza 413-Rama declares that he will give protection to Vibhishana whether he is his enemy or friend. He says, 11 from the days of our birth, have wherever forgotten the greatness of him who entered the balance for one who had sought refuge? Even if, in the act of affording protection, I die in consequence, I feel that that day of death is the day of ever-lasting life."
