importantly we should follow their teachings in our daily lives, which is to live a life
of peace, permeated by the practice of meditation. We must similarly give these great
teachers a place of honor in our educational systems and revere them as our true leaders.
If we fail to give them the recognition they deserve as the voice of Truth, then we cannot
get beyond the problems that we have today.
A culture is the outcome of its leaders and the ideals that they follow in their lives.
Let us look to leaders who have embodied the highest ideal, which is Self-realization. A
culture which does not recognize the value of Self-realization cannot endure, not can it
create unity. On the other hand, a culture based
on Self-realization can never be overcome by the forces of time. To create such a culture one must bring the message of Vedanta into
all of life, which is also to introduce related aspects of Vedic knowledge like Yoga,
Ayurveda, and the Sanskrit language. This is to
revive a culture of the Dharma, a spiritual field of human is to revive a culture such a
Vedanta that again encompasses all life and is relevant to the entire world is the key to
the spiritual transformation of humanity that the coming millennium requires. |
