SUNDARAR |

He is said to
have sung thousands of such hymns of which only a hundred are available now. They are
collected in the book by name Tirumurai.
After this event Sundarar visited several Siva shrines of Tamil Nad and sang on the
presiding deities.
It is said that Sundarar was originally an attendant of Lord Siva at Kailasa. He fell in
love with two maids of Paravti there.
As a result, all three were born as mortals to get married.
At Tiruvarur, Sundarar met a girl by name Paravayar. She was one of the maids from Kailasa
whom he bad loved. They therefore fell in love at first sight. |
