PARIKSHIT

And Kashyapa took it and returned home.

On the seventh day at sunset, Takshaka dressed some of his followers as hermits and sent them with fruits to be presented  to Parikshit. Takshaka himself entered one of these fruits as a worm.

The king's men readily admitted the young hermits to the presence of Parikshit. They presented the fruits to the king.

When Parikshit started eating one of them, Takshaka jumped out of it and taking his fierce form bit Parikshit fulfilling the  rishi's curse and Parikshit died on the spot and attained God's feet, because he had overcome the fear of death.
