HIGHEST VIRTUES

The next virtue is forbearance of both cold and heat and reconciliation to suffering. They call it Titiksha.

The next important virtue to be cultivated is Iksha or discrimination of right from wrong.

The virtue Sama consists in control of the mind and the internal sense organs-the ear, eye, tongue, taste, skin (touch) and nose.

Its twin virtue is Dama which is control of the external sense organs-legs, arms, hands and feet used in walking etc.

Ahimsa the next virtue to be cultivated consists in non violence in thought, word and deed.
