joined up and pleaded: "We also churned the ocean along with you. We too must get of
the Amrita!" Just then God Vishnu appeared
before them in the form of a very beautiful woman called Mohini.
When the demons saw her they were dumb-founded by her
beauty.
They went to her and said: "O lady, please distribute
this nectar among us. We will accept any decision at your hand."
Mohini said: "I will distribute it in any manner I
choose. You must promise to respect my judgement."
"We promise," cried the demons with one voice. |
