NIMBARKA

Ever since, Niyamananda has been called Nimbarka, because he showed the sun through the Nimba tree. "Arka’ means the sun.

Nimbarka spent his altar years in Brindavan. His teaching is called sanaka-sampradaya.

People following his teaching wear gopi-chandan on the forehead in two lines and a black tilak in the middle.

Srimad Bhagavata is their sacred book.

Nimbarka is the authour of several books.

The most important among them deals with the Brahman Sutras.

All great Acharyas have offered explanation for this book.
