INDUS VALLEY CIVILISATION

They used gold for ornaments like necklaces, anklets, finger rings, girdles, ear-rings and anklets were common. Both men and women wore ornaments.

They also used ivory and precious stones.

The bow, arrow, spear, axes, dagger and mace were their weapons of war.

They did not know of armour.

The people wore dhoti and shawl, both of cotton and wool.

Men sported long hair and short beards and women plaited hair.

We do not know that language they spoke; but they were a mixture of Aryan and Dravidian cultures.

They knew writing but it was by picture scripts.
