EASTER

Jesus was taken to a place called Mount Calvary.

Jesus was made to carry a heavy cross all the way up the hill.

There they crucified Jesus and buried his body.

On the third day after the burial, however, Jesus rose from the grave alive and told his disciples: "Go back and spread my message of love and peace throughout the world."

Jesus then went up to heaven in his human body.

Christians celebrate the resurrection -- coming back to life of Jesus, in the Easter festival. Every year it falls on the first Sunday after fullmoon in April.

This miracle in the life of Christ shows that love and goodwill always win over evil.

Christians celebrate Easter as a day of feast, and of greetings, when they visit friends and relations.

Christ's message to the world is that we should love one another return good for evil, and eschew the ways of violence so that there is peace and goodwill on earth.
