AYODHYA

In Ayodhya there is a place called Lakad Mandi. King Dasharatha did his yaga there for the birth of a child.

The city is in the shape of a fish. There are many sacred tirthas in it. The Swargadwar and the Rama Ghat are the more important ones. People visit them. There are Siva temples also.

Tulsidas was a great poet. He wrote the story of Rama in Hindi. It is called Rama charita Manasa. Tulsidas went to Ayodhya to write, this story. There God Rama appeared to him. When you are older, you will enjoy reading the Manasa.
