SANKARA

Sankara had four chief disciples: Padma- pada, Hastamalaka, Sureshwara, and Trotaka.

Sankara live'd for only thirty-two years. But within that short time, he did much to' spiritualize the Indian way ofliving.

We honour him on the fifth day of thebright half of Chaitra every year. It is his birthday. We worship him on that day and read his books.
