MANIKKA VACHAKAR

Vaaclavoorar liked the teaching. Then he went and sat among the pupils and started listening with all his attention. That teacher was none other than God Siva Himself.

Soon Vaadavoorar forgot that he was a minister. He also forgot his mission, which was to buy horses. He put on a simple dress like the other disciples. Hecontinued to sit and pray. Further, he spent all the king’s money in buying things for the wor- ship of the deity of the village, and in buying food for all the pupils.

King Arimardana heard about it all. He became angry and sent for Vaadavoorar.

Vaadavoorar became afraid. He cried to God, "What shall I tell the king, O God?

God said, Do not fear. Go and tell the king that the horses will appear on the day of Mula nakshatra. God gave him a big ruby as a present for the king.
