DATTATREYA

Sandili was shocked. She wept. Then she thought for a moment.

She prayed to the Sun-god: "Please, O Sun-god, do not rise again! Then my husband will not die. "

The lady was a very pious woman and loving wife. So the Sun-god was pleased with her prayer. He did not come up. There was no light.

How long can people live without sunlight?

The gods in heaven, too, were greatly upset.

God Vishnu said, The sun does not rise because of the prayer of a saintly woman. Only another woman equally devoted to her husband can make the sun rise.
