CHRISTMAS

He had many disciples. He lived about 2000 years ago. We reckon the English year from the birth of Christ.

Christ’s teachings are contained in a book called the Bible. People who follow his religion are called Christians.

There are Christians all over the world. Christmas is a happy occasion forchildren. They prepare for it several days in advance. On Christmas Eve, they sing Christmas songs.

Have you seen a Christmas Tree,’ It looks like a tree from fairyland. Many presents are tied to its branches and children pluck them.

They get many presents from some one dressed as Father Christmas. They also call him Santa Claus. People wear new clothes, go to Church and pray to God, and later hold a feast.

It is a day of joy and festivity.
