SEETA'S MARRIAGE

God Siva had given the king one of his bows.

It was big and tough.

Janaka said, "The prince who bends and strings this bow of Siva can marry Seeta!"

Many princes came and tried. They could not even lift the bow.

Young Rama and Lakshmana, sons of King Dasaratha, had also come to Mithila.

Sage Viswamitra had brought them.

Rama lifted the bow with ease. He bent it till it broke in two.

Every one felt happy.

Janaka gave Seeta in marriage to Rama.
