BADARINATH - KEDARNATH

Rishis Nara and Narayana are doing tapas here to bless the country.

Rishi Vyasa wrote the Mahabharata in a cave near Badarinath.

Do you know who took down the story of Mahabharata? Rishi Vyasa spoke the story.

God Ganesa wrote it down quickly with one of his tusks.

A few miles away from Badarinath is Kedarnath.

It is at a height of over 11,000 ft.

There, in Kedamath is the temple of God Siva. The god is called Kedareshwara.

For half the year, these two places, Badarinath and Kedarnath, are covered with snow.

The temples are open only in summer.  Most people who go to Badarinath also go to Kedamath.

The journey up the hills is exciting.
