ATRI

Brahma, Vishnu and Siva are the three great gods.

Rishi Atri was the son of Brahma.

One day Brahma asked Atri to create a new world.

Before -starting, Atri and his wife, Anasuya, sat down to do tapas.

Pleased with their tapas, the gods Brahma, Vishnu and Siva appeared to them.

Overjoyed at this, the rishi and his wife fell at their feet.

The gods asked them, "What do you want?"

They said, "We want to have all three of you to be born as our children!"

The gods agreed to be born as their children. Then they went away.
