SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE

The effect of this all lasted till the very end of his life. Thus there developed a conflict in him between becoming a man of action to liberate India and becoming a mystic.

He resolved this dilemma for the nonce by plunging into the ideal of selfless service in the cause of Mother India.

After his scholastic career Subash joined the Presidency College, Calcutta where he chose philosophy as his subject. That
made him go in search of a Guru in 1914.

Disillusioned in this search, he turned his attention to the other love. He started a debating club in his college saying that
India, in her forthcoming struggle, would need great debators and parliamentarians.

He tried to promote quick thinking and self-reliance among his co-students.
