SAMARTHA RAMADAS

Sant Ramadasa became a saint the hard way by intense sadhana. Besides Dasa Bodha, Manache Sloka and Atmarama are
his other famous writings. He always wrote in simple Marathi for use by the common people. In them he has given expression to the highest thoughts ever known to
mankind.

He taught us that the idol was but the means of God-realisation. He spoke against religious bigotry. He did not believe in miracles. He said that they did not constitute spirituality.

Spiritual greatness lay only in knowledge of the Self. He wanted people to discriminate the Real from the Unreal. He had however great faith in the efficacy of uttering the Lord's name.
