Then Periyalwar
asked her which form of the Lord interested her most and found that she was attracted by
Lord Ranganatha
of Srirangam. Soon Lord Ranganatha appeared in
Periyalwar's dream and said "Bring Andal to my temple and I shall marry her."
The Lord also told the priests of Srirangam temple in their
dream and commanded them to fetch Andal with due honours to His temple.
Accordingly Periyalwar took her dressed as a bride and the
priests received her with temple honours. They took her into the sanctum of the ternple.
There Ranganatha of matchless beauty reclines on Adisesha.
Andal walked shyly up to the Lord and stood by His side, lost in His beauty. |
