Dwaipayana put together the Vedas. So he is also known as Vedavysa. He has taught us many things, great, good and true.  We are thankful to him for his great teachings.

We worship him every year on the Guru - poornima day. It is the full moon day of Ashada. We must remember and respect the great men and women of our land.
