BHARATA

He took it to Kind Dushyanta. On seeing it Dushyanta remembered Sakuntala. He at once came to the ashram. He took Sakuntala back with him. Their son was Bharata.  As a child Bharata played freely with lions-cubs.

Later Bharata became a learned and wise King. He ruled our country justly and well. So our country is named after him. It is called Bharata - Varsha in Sanskrit means country.

MEANINGS
Foster daughter - A female child brought up by one who is not its parent.

Ashram - The home of a rishi.
