GOD AND NATURE

There is naught whatsoever beyond Me. All this universe hangs together on Me, as pearls on a string.
                                                            VII-7

The dependence of all things and beings in Nature on the Supreme Spirit is illustrated in the following four slokas:

I am the taste in water, I am the radiance in the sun and the moon, I am the sacred OM in all the Vedas; I am sound in space; I am virility in men.

                                                             VII-8

I am sweetest fragrance of the earth and the heat in the fire: the life in all beings the austerity in ascetics.

                                                            VII-9

Know Me as the seed primeval of all beings. I am buddhi of the wise, the splendor of the illustrations.

                                                          VII-10
